Device settings

  • Prevent user from accessing the Settings menu — Select this option to hide the Settings menu from the end user.
  • Set locale — Select the language and country for the device.
  • Set the timezone
  • Hide Settings menu/elements— Select the settings that you don't want to display to the end user:
    • All
    • Backup and Reset
    • Bluetooth
    • Developer
    • Airplane mode
    • Language
    • Lock screen and security (Lock screen)
    • Wi-Fi
  • Automatic Time Update — Set the device to automatically updates its time and date information from the network.
  • Other
    • Disable Software Updates (Firmware updates via Wi-Fi and Mobile networks) — Prevent the user from manually downloading and installing software updates.
    • Disable factory reset
    • Disable device power off for users
    • Disable Task Manager
    • Disable Check cover pop-ups — This warning message is only applicable for devices such as the S5. On applicable devices, a pop-up reminds users to check if the USB port cover has been secured in order for the device to remain waterproof.
    • Disable Multiple user mode
    • Disable Safe mode
  • Disable hardware keys — Turn off the functionality for all hardware keys or select the Volume up, Volume down, Home, or Power buttons.
  • Developer settings — Enable or disable USB debugging mode.
    • Prevent user from changing USB debugging settings
    • USB debugging enabled
    • Disable airplane mode — Prevent users from enabling airplane mode. Airplane mode prevents the device from connecting to a mobile network.
    • Default airplane mode settings
    • Disable OMC mode — Prevent the device from being customized by a source other than Knox Customization Configurator (i.e. Open Market Customization).
  • Power — Set devices to turn on when connected to a power source.
