2. Upload devices

Upload the device IMEI or Serial Number to register it with the Knox Customization Configurator. You can upload device information in bulk in a CSV file or you can manually enter individual device IDs.

For deployment

  1. Go to Devices > Actions > Upload devices.
  2. Click on the calendar icon to select a Date of purchase.
  3. Enter a description of your purchase order. Include the following information:
    • Date of sale — Use the calendar to select the date that the device was purchased.
    • Purchase order description — Provide information that could help Samsung verify your purchase information including:
      • Reseller name — The name of the Samsung reseller who handled your purchase request.
      • End customer— If you are configuring devices on the behalf of another enterprise
      • Samsung Subsidiary— The Samsung organization that you purchased your devices from (e.g. Samsung Electronics Canada, Samsung Electronics America, etc).
      • Quantity — The number of devices in your purchase order.
    • Purchase order documentation – Upload a copy of your Purchase Order.

  4. Confirm that the devices were purchased from a participating Samsung reseller or distributor and that the reseller could provide device information to Samsung.
  5. Confirm that you own the devices or you're customizing these devices on behalf of an enterprise that owns them. Click Next.
  6. Tag devices to group and organize them according to organization, device model, or other information. Click Add/Remove to edit tags.
  7. Upload a CSV with device IMEIs or Serial Numbers.
  8. Click Submit.

For testing purposes

  1. Go to Actions > Upload devices.
  2. Select These devices will be used for testing purposes.
  3. Upload a photo of the IMEI or Serial Number of the device. You can also go to Settings > About device > Status > IMEI information/ Serial number and take a screenshot of the information there.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Tag devices to group and organize them according to organization, device model, or other information. Click Add/Remove to edit tags.
  6. Select one of the following options:
    • Add multiple devices using CSV list
    • Add a single device using the IMEI/MEID/serial number
  7. Click Submit.

NOTE — Your devices will be registered after the system verifies that the Device IDs you’ve uploaded are valid. If you’ve uploaded devices in bulk, it may take a few minutes before the data is verified.

Devices uploaded by a Samsung Admin bypass the autoverification process.
